Your first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, your goals, and what you’d like to work on. It’s a relaxed, pressure-free conversation where you can ask questions and share as much—or as little—as you feel comfortable.

Therapy is flexible! Most clients begin with weekly sessions, but we’ll work together to find a rhythm that fits your needs, schedule, and goals. Some clients shift to biweekly or monthly sessions over time.

Yes—your privacy is a top priority. Therapy sessions are confidential, and what you share stays between you and your therapist. There are a few legal exceptions (like safety concerns), which we’ll go over in your first session so you’re fully informed. Your comfort and trust matter to us.

No, therapist do not prescribe medication. However, if we determine that medication might be helpful, we can refer you to a trusted psychiatrist, primary care provider, or nurse practitioner for an evaluation. We’re happy to collaborate with your prescriber to support your overall care.
